Taowood Carpentry is a company I started 12 years ago focusing on custom cabinetry and fine woodworking. I transitioned into project management and general contracting after 4 years to support a growing family. After 8 years of focusing on large custom remodels I have stepped back to working for myself, with my kids as helpers, doing projects that I enjoy. As a climber for 28 years and a route developer for the last 10, I wanted to focus on work that allows me more flexibility with my schedule.
I’ve been building climbing walls for as long as I have been climbing. At first it was for myself and friends, mostly rough work but effective for training. Ten years ago I started building walls for people professionally. I create walls that are both bomber and beautiful. I build my panels with high quality cabinet grade plywood and commercial brad point T-nuts, and finish them with WB Poly. For most 8×12 walls I can build the majority in my shop and deliver and install in one day.
Home gyms are a specialty of mine. I utilize the knowledge and contacts I gained as a general contractor to convert unfinished spaces into quality home/garage gyms with effective lighting and heat. I can provide padding and holds and set problems for a turnkey experience for the client. I currently have my Contractors B license in Jefferson County and am based out of Evergreen, Colorado.
